Sharvin lodge is a fully-equipped, modern function centre and bar with a unique and enchanting difference: It is a haven of country tranquillity located just a few minutes from Christchurch’s heart and only minutes from the city’s international airport. It’s secluded and beautifully manicured gardens are an ideal environment for virtually any function or gathering – large or small.

Your guests can settle in the comfort of the bar with its warm ambience or venture out onto the covered deck with magnificent views of our private lake and beautifully landscaped gardens. Outside, up to 150 guests can relax in the spectacular gardens overlooking our private fishing lake. There’s plenty of space for a marquee and our sunken garden is the ideal spot for a wedding ceremony.

Whilst we are in a rural setting, we do have some nearby neighbours and some noise restrictions apply after 11pm.

A unique aspect, which Sharvin Lodge offers over other functions venues, is our private salmon lake. No license is required and all gear is provided so you can your guests can catch a fresh Mt Cook salmon and have it wrapped up to take home.
